Founded in 1858 by a Somerset family of wool merchants, the Price Brothers and Co. business developed 100% wool mattresses that were of such high quality, they became known as mattresses that you could truly ‘rely-on’ for a good night’s sleep.

And so the Relyon name was born out of a reputation for hand crafting wonderfully comfortable natural mattresses. Today our beds harness the skills of Relyon’s artisan rich pedigree and combine them with the finest natural fillings, perfectly engineered calico covered pocket springs and a host of bespoke tailoring options.

Relyon’s superior product quality has been recognised with a number of awards. In 1994 Relyon was the first bed manufacturer to be awarded with The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers’ highly prestigious Manufacturing Guild Mark. Relyon remains only one of five major bed manufacturers to have achieved Guild Mark status.

Relyon has its own spring manufacturing company on site, as well as its own wood mill. In addition to these Relyon is one amongst a few bed manufacturers to have its own in-house laboratory, which systematically tests all raw materials to ensure that these are in accordance with product specifications and achieve European legalisation standards. Quality is important throughout the organisation, and Relyon is committed to the principles of ISO9001.

As an environmentally aware and progressive business, Relyon are proud to be full members of the Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme and fully support its goals and aims.

The heart of the business and our the manufacturing headquarters remain in Wellington, Somerset, with a workforce of nearly 300 employees. Mattress Craftsmanship
If you ever get to see inside of a Relyon mattress you will see sumptuous layers of the finest quality fillings. Specially chosen and expertly blended to provided the perfect sleeping experience. To suit individual needs, Relyon has developed mattresses of natural fibres and mattresses with anti-allergenic health benefits. Differing spring counts and combinations of fillings, there are mattresses of varying firmness and feel that will respond perfectly to an individual’s size, shape and weight, offering unsurpassed levels of comfort and support.

Divan Craftsmanship
Every Relyon divan base is designed and constructed with the greatest care and attention to detail, with much of the construction carried out by hand. One of the prerequisites for a great night’s sleep is the quality of the support given to the mattress. Relyon prides itself on the quality of materials and build synonymous with its divans.

Headboards and Upholstered Guest Beds Craftsmanship
